Who We Are

The Nevada Brain Injury Alliance was formed in 2026 by brain injury survivors, family members, physicians, therapists, case managers, and community partners from across the state. We came together because brain injury touches every part of a person's life, and survivors and families deserve clear information, a supportive community, and a place to turn.

Brain injury is often thought of as a single event. For many people it is a lifelong, chronic condition that can affect thinking, memory, movement, communication, emotions, work, and relationships. NBIA works to build understanding of brain injury across its whole course: the first days after injury, rehabilitation, the return to home and community, and the years that follow.

Brain injury organizations serve communities in states across the country. NBIA brings that same commitment to Nevada, with a focus on our people, our services, and the programs that serve them.

Our Vision

A Nevada where brain injury is widely understood, often prevented, and never faced alone, and where every survivor and family has the knowledge, resources, and community support to pursue recovery, independence, and a full life.

Our Mission

The Nevada Brain Injury Alliance is a nonprofit organization dedicated to education and awareness for the benefit of Nevadans affected by brain injury. We bring together survivors, families, caregivers, healthcare professionals, and community partners to share evidence-based information, raise public awareness, promote prevention, and help the community understand brain injury as a chronic condition. We also look into the policies and programs that affect brain injury care in Nevada and explain them in plain language for survivors, families, providers, and payers. Through education and collaboration, we help survivors and families find the resources they need to live with dignity and independence in their homes and communities.
